• Pista shells

Tips to Make Beautiful Rakhi Thali

1. Firstly you have to cover the surface of the thali. You can either use steel, silver, gold or any other metal thali or plate.

2. Cover the surface with a craft paper or colorful cloth and paste it with the help of glue or you can paint the Steel Thali with the color of your choice.

3. Once you have covered the thali then attach ribbons all around to make the surface look beautiful and gorgeous.

4. Take mirror cuttings, stars or other decorative items and paste on it.

5. To give a traditional look to Rakhi Thali, you can also use Kundan, Stones, Zardoshi, Gota, Pearls, Laces, etc.

6. You can place some fresh flowers around the side of thali border or strewn flowers petals on the thali to give it a new and innovative look.

7. If you want, you can also keep a small statue of Shri Ganesha or embellish Swastika in the middle of Rakhi Thali.

8. To lure kids, one may use toffees and chocolates to make compartment in a Puja Thali.

Similarly, you can decorate the small bowls also but do not paste Velvet paper or cloth inside the bowls, they should be decorated from outside. Stick balls in a gap of 1 inch on the boundary of the thali, and dry well.

When all this happens, then put the Rakhis and a dry Coconut inside your thali or plate and keep Kumkum, Rice in the bowls. Now place brother's favorite sweets on the other side of the thali. You can also put some fruits like bananas and apples.

Note:

Use bright red and yellow colors, Velvet Paper or Cloth as they are traditional colors that have a lot of value in Hinduism because these colors are considered to be auspicious according to the worship. A bandhej craft paper base will look great on the thali.
