Story of Sharad Purnima fast

A moneylender had two daughters. Both daughters used to fast for the full moon, but the elder daughter practically had a full vow while the younger daughter used to do only incomplete fast. As a result, the son of a younger daughter died as soon as it was born. When she asked the reason for the death of her children from the scholars, he told that in the first time you did not complete the full moon fast, due to which all your children die as soon as they take birth. Then the younger daughter asked the pundits about their remedy, they said that if you fast for the full moon, then your children can survive. The younger girl of Sahaukar fulfills the full moon fast on the advice of that pandit. Consequently, she received the son's gem, but he soon received death. Then the younger daughter covered the boy with the cloth and kept him on the stool. Then she called her elder sister and asked her to sit on that stool. When the elder sister began to sit on the stool, her cloth touched that dead child, the child started crying as she touched the waistline. The elder sister said that you wanted to blame me if your child will die after my sitting. Then the younger sister said that you do not know it was already dead, it has only recovered from your fate. It is alive with your virtue. There was no second thought after that. The significance of the power of the full moon fast spread throughout the city and the state's announcement was made by everyone in the city with the legislation.
